Before turning Pen barrels, the ends of the blanks must be cut square to the brass tube. This tool constists of 1) A Pilot to clean excess glue out of the brass tubes and keep the cutter head square with the tube and 2) A cutter-head to trim the ends of the blank. The Barrel Facing Tool can be used in any 3 or 4 jawed chuck. i.e., hand drill, drill press, or lathe. A 5/8" cutter head and a 3/4" cutter head are availible. Cutter heads are made from hardened tool steel. The Pilots are interchangable.
The 7mm Pilot is used along with a cutter head to clean out any exess glue and to trim your blanks square with the tube. This Pilot is for standard 7mm Pens, Pencils, Key Rings, Letter Openers and the Perfume Pen.
